Yes. Most departments complete their initial setup in an afternoon. You can also book a strategy call and we will walk through onboarding together at no extra cost during your trial.

What happens when my trial ends?

Your workspace stays accessible. We will reach out before your trial ends to talk through which subscription tier fits your department. Nothing is deleted automatically.

Can we exclude modules we do not need?

Absolutely. Subscriptions are configured to your department. If you do not need Union Hub, Crew Lounge, or any other module, it can be excluded from your plan.

Does PlatoonAware support custom department URLs?

Yes. Every department gets their own workspace at platoonaware.ca/your-department. If a department wants a custom domain such as scheduling.yourdepartment.ca, that is handled as a separate manual setup by the PlatoonAware team and is not created during signup.

How does PlatoonAware compare to TeleStaff?

TeleStaff (UKG) is an enterprise scheduling platform built for large municipal departments already running UKG for HR and payroll. PlatoonAware is purpose-built for fire and EMS departments of all sizes, with a self-serve setup, 30-day free trial, and modular subscriptions. PlatoonAware includes OT tracking, drug accountability, inventory, and union contract support that TeleStaff does not cover. For departments not inside a UKG ecosystem, PlatoonAware is more accessible, more operationally focused, and significantly easier to set up.

Both support self-serve signup. PlatoonAware is Canadian-built with Canadian privacy and collective agreement structures in mind.

Yes. PlatoonAware is developed in Canada by CMN Ventures Inc. and is designed specifically for Canadian fire and EMS departments, including Canadian collective agreement structures, IAFF local support, and Canadian privacy expectations. It is not a US product adapted for Canada.
